Duty of the Hour explores the rise of Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks from the segregated streets of Memphis to the national stage of civil rights activism. In telling the story of Dr. Hooks, Duty of the Hour also explores how the quest for civil rights transformed Memphis and the nation.
